ACCURATE AND QUIET
The Atom Specialty houses 65mm hardened steel burrs which provide a very consistent grind at any grind setting. Its production speed is quite fast, and it offers two programmable doses set in 0.1s increments using the digital display. Quite helpfully, these doses can also be paused to allow for the portafilter to be shaken and then resumed to complete the dose. It also can be operated in manual mode, and all of this is controlled by simply pushing the portafilter into place.
Due to the sound-insulated construction, it’s remarkably quiet, and it also includes a specially designed chute with anti-clumping technology. This should help improve distribution and avoid channeling.
